Looking back, it all makes sense.
As we grow and evolve, our experiences, lessons, challenges, and triumphs shape not only how we respond to the world around us, but ultimately who we become.
Like many people, I spent my twenties thinking I had life figured out. By my thirties, I realized I had so much more to learn. That realization led me to open my eyes, my mind, and my heart to new experiences, perspectives, and opportunities for growth. Through every season of life, one thing has remained constant: my faith in God as my Creator and Savior. While my walk with Him has not always been perfect or consistent, His faithfulness has never wavered.
Now, in my forties, I can honestly say I am grateful for every step of the journey. Through intentional self-reflection—not the occasional glance inward, but the daily practice of examining my heart, my choices, and my purpose—I continue to grow into the person God created me to be. The beauty of life is that we are never finished evolving.
One of the greatest gifts of self-discovery is learning what truly brings you joy. How many of us spent years convincing ourselves we liked something simply because it helped us fit in? With age comes clarity, and these days I know exactly what I love.
First, cake.
No matter how balanced my diet may be, I have always had a sweet tooth. For celebrations, special occasions, or simply because it’s Tuesday, my dessert of choice will always be white cake with vanilla frosting.
And then there’s cashmere.
I love the soft, luxurious feel of a beautiful cashmere sweater, scarf, or pair of gloves. In my twenties and thirties, I often purchased trendy pieces that quickly went out of style. Today, I appreciate quality, craftsmanship, and timeless design. While classic pieces may require a larger investment, they last for years and never lose their appeal. For me, it’s quality over quantity every time.
My love of travel combines all of these passions. Whether I’m exploring a charming café in Paris, searching for the perfect dessert, discovering a hidden boutique, or investing in a timeless addition to my wardrobe, I find joy in experiencing the world with curiosity and gratitude.
This blog is a collection of those experiences—beautiful destinations, memorable meals, sweet treats, meaningful moments, and exceptional shopping finds. I invite you to join me as I explore new places, embrace new adventures, and share the discoveries that inspire me along the way.
After all, life is meant to be savored.
First cake, then cashmere.
Bye for now!
