My Skincare Routine: The Rituals I Keep Coming Back To

I’ve always believed that less is more. Once I find something that truly works, I rarely feel the need to chase the next trend. That philosophy has shaped everything from my wardrobe to my beauty routine, and especially the way I care for my skin.

Over the years, I’ve found my trusted professionals—an aesthetician I rely on and an injector I wholeheartedly trust. I’ve discovered the products that consistently work for my skin, and I’ve settled into treatments that help me look refreshed without ever looking overdone.

My goal has never been to look younger than I am. Instead, I’ve focused on aging gracefully while looking like the healthiest, most rested version of myself.

Here’s what that routine looks like.

My Daily Ritual

Double cleanse.

Yes, I really do wash my face twice. I use Clinique Mild Facial Soap, then simply wash, rinse, and repeat. It may sound excessive, but the second cleanse always removes what the first one leaves behind. Once you start, it’s hard to imagine going back.

A morning spritz of stem cell mist.

It’s the first thing my skin sees every morning. It instantly feels refreshed, hydrated, and ready for the rest of my routine.

“Orange juice” for my skin.

Not the kind you drink—Vitamin C serum. It’s one of my favorite steps because it brightens, hydrates, and creates the perfect base for everything that follows.

Moisturize.

Some products never lose their place, and for me, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion is one of them. I’ve used it since I was in grade school, and after all these years, it’s still a staple in my routine.

Tinted sunscreen. Every single day.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found myself wearing less makeup, not more. Full-coverage foundation is reserved for special occasions—and even then, I often skip it. TiZO’s tinted sunscreen gives me just enough coverage to even my complexion while protecting my skin. It leaves everything looking fresh, natural, and effortless.

Evening cleanse.

At the end of the day, I double cleanse again. If you’ve never tried washing twice at night, you might be surprised by how much makeup, sunscreen, and impurities come off during that second wash. Looking back, I have no idea how my skin survived those younger years when I occasionally fell asleep wearing makeup.

Retinol.

A quality retinol has earned a permanent place in my evening routine. It’s one of the hardest-working products in my skincare cabinet and one I never skip.

One last layer of moisture.

I finish the day the same way I begin it—with my trusted Clinique moisturizer. It’s a simple ending to a routine that has served my skin well for decades.

Monthly

Every month, I schedule a HydraFacial paired with a gentle peel. It’s one of my favorite treatments because my skin always feels cleaner, smoother, and noticeably brighter afterward. Regular maintenance has made far more of a difference than occasional intensive treatments ever did.

Every Three Months

Neurotoxins are part of my maintenance routine. Apparently, my facial muscles enjoy working overtime—if only the rest of my body shared that same enthusiasm.

Every three months, I typically receive between 60 and 65 units, and my current treatment of choice is Jeuveau. If you’re curious about my experience, I’ve shared more in my dedicated neurotoxins post.

Yearly

Unlike my quarterly treatments, fillers aren’t scheduled on a strict timeline. I simply book an appointment when I feel I need a subtle refresh.

I also incorporate spicule treatments about once a year, typically as a series of three sessions for the best results. They require a bit of commitment, but I’ve found the improvement in my skin’s texture and overall appearance well worth it.

The Bigger Picture

When people ask about my skincare routine, they’re often expecting a secret product or the latest treatment. The truth is much less glamorous.

Consistency has been the greatest investment I’ve made in my skin.

Finding professionals I trust, wearing sunscreen every day, staying hydrated, following a routine that works for me, and choosing treatments thoughtfully has allowed me to age naturally while still feeling confident in my skin.

It’s never been about chasing perfection. It’s simply about taking care of the face that has carried me through every season of life—and helping it look its very best along the way.
